BARBARA JEAN TUOMISTO KRONK-

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Barbara Kronk on January 7, 2020 .  She was 74 years old.

She was born on March 8th, 1945 in Bronx , New York, the daughter of Reino Tuomisto  and Florence Sirocco Tuomisto.

Barbara graduated from high school in Jupiter Florida in 1962 and then went on to attend Auburn University and earned her Bachelors of Science degree in 1966.  She met her husband there, Dr. Michael Kronk, future Veterinarian, and they were married on September 11, 1965.

Barbara enjoyed her time raising her 5 children, but always had the passion for learning new things or becoming involved with her Church.   In the 1970’s, Barbara was president of the Women’s club and as well as president of Right to Life.

She enjoyed maintaining the household budget and went back to College in the 1980’s to earn her degree in Accounting and finally earning her Masters and became a CPA.  She maintained her private practice and taught accounting at The Ft. Lauderdale Art institute, Nova University, and most recently Florida Metropolitan University .

She loved to travel with her family and had the opportunity to visit many countries.  She loved to read and watch Sci-Fi, do crosswords and spoil her cats. Everyone who knew Barbara described her as smart, generous, and kind-hearted.

After her loving husband passed away in May of 2009 , Barbara was inspired to provide scholarship opportunities  for Pre- Vet  students enrolled in Veterinary School at Auburn University in remembrance of him.

She will be sorely missed and is survived by her brother Ray Tuomisto and wife Nancy; daughter Roxanne and husband James, daughter Rita and husband Rich, son Anthony, daughter Rachel and husband Tim, son Jason and wife Romina. 5 Grandchildren:  Justin, Julian, Jacquelyn, Jaxson, and Michael and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services to be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at  Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

I am very sad to have just learned of the passing of my “adoptive mother” Barbera J. Kronk. She taught me so much about love. She taught me that when people really love you it dosent have to hurt! She loved me very unconditionally. I will never forget our late night conversations and how much she enlightened me. She was a real blessing to my heart from the very first time i met her. I used to love to make her laugh so much i would make her cry. She was amazing and will always be a part of my heart! Rest in peace Barb. Now you can be with your soulmate Mike and your plethora of cats. God Bless you!
