Cheretis, Mary, age 81, a long time resident of Hallandale Beach, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Thursday, December 19, 2019. 

Mary was born on March 26, 1938, in Iraklion, Greece, to the late Emmanuel Stefanakis and Irene Petsalakis. 

She married the love of her life, John, and together raised their three children, George, Joanna, and Jenny. Mary was a housewife who dedicated her life to her family, she enjoyed taking care of all their needs. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Cheretis in 2013. Survivors include her three children, George Cheretis, Joanna Cheretis, and Jenny; son-in-law, John; sister, Joanna; and granddaughter, Joanna. 

Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 23rd, from 4:00-5:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date at Vathia Cemetery in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.
