BROWARD — Gertrude “Trudy” Burgham, a long-time resident of the Hollywood area, died Saturday the 12th of January under the tender care of Seasons Hospice.

Born in 1915 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Trudy received her High School Diploma a great accomplishment since it was rare for women to finish their education back in those days. She became a Telephone Operator for the American Federation of Musicians. 

Trudy loved good food and socializing, enjoyed to spend time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her sister, Helene Knapp; nephews, Len Wroblewski and his wife Kathleen and Thomas Wroblewski; her niece, Janice Baker and her husband Richard,  all of whom brought great joy to her later years.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 18th, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
